This Sunday I could check another place of my bucket list, the Cape Split hike. When we left home it was cloudy, chilly and rainy. Did that prevent us from going? I don’t think so, something I have learned about Nova Scotia is that the weather is changing all the time and well you can never really rely on the weather forecast, it’s more like a look-out-off-the-window-and-see thing.

By the time we started our hike, the sun came out.

It takes about two and a half hours to get to the tip of the cape. So after half an hour of “we’re getting near”…

and another half an hour of “we’re almost there” we finally arrived. And this is what we saw…

The feeling I experienced is indescribable! I guess you would have had to be there to be able to understand what I’m talking about. But one thing I can say for sure, this was the apple of my week!
